Simply the best
I traveled with Serendipity in 1999 before I met my husband and had kids! More than 20 years later I knew the only way for me to show Costa Rica to my family was through Serendipity. I was amazed to find many of the people who worked there in ‘99 were still employees today. To me, that speaks to a great organization. We spent almost two weeks adventuring through the country and it exceeded all of our expectations. Lotta worked with me to fine tune our trip before we arrived and Sergio took wonderful care of us the entire time. We appreciated his patience with teaching our children new skills and we all enjoyed learning about the country throughout our visit. The beauty of a Serendipity tour is that you have plan – but there’s room for spontaneous adventure as well! I would not go to Costa Rica with any other company!

Took care of all the hassle leaving us with only fun!
An amazing and unforgettable trip. Having a private trip for just my family (and our INCREDIBLE guide) was perfect (I don’t love tour groups). Serendipity took care of every detail making the trip a true vacation. We woke up each morning and went out to have fun as a family. They also found things we’d never have discovered on our own (Climbing 400 year old trees!). In COVID times, we had to postpone our trip an extra year, take a COVID test to get back in the US, and had other bumps along the way. Serendipity made all the hassle of planning and rearranging seamless. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about everything from Costa Rica to animals to the random questions teens like to ask. He also found restaurants that were out of the way and only a local would share. It wasn’t our first overseas trip, but it was the least stressful and so much fun. I wish Serendipity worked in every other country and we’d be planning our next trip right now!
Second time with Serendipity
This was our second trip with Serendipity Adventures. The first time was my wife and I. This time our 12 and 14 year olds came. The entire trip was top notch. Serendipity finds out what you would like to do, how adventurous you would like to be, how independent you would like the trip catered and what kind of accommodations you would like to target. Then they send you an itinerary that you can fine tune.We knew we wanted to raft the Pacuare and zip line again on this trip, and we added some ocean activities like an outrigger canoe trip, snorkeling and surfing. Our guide Tito (Jose) was amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed or wanted. He was a wealth of knowledge about the country, its history, its current state of affairs, and the environment. Part of our trip was in his home town and he gave us a little extra insight about it and we spent part of the afternoon walking around his old haunts.
Each hotel Serendipity picked was top notch for location, accommodations comfort and views. Best of all though was the staff. The crew at each hotel made you feel like you were staying with friends and the wait staff and kitchen staff made us all want to come back as soon as possible. Top notch from start to finish.

Superb, exquisite perfection
From the beginning of our relationship Charlotte, Nancy and the team were an absolute pleasure to work with. The itinerary that was planned for us far exceeded our expectations. Mountain biking, hot springs, rafting on the Pacuare, canyoning kayaking, surfing. We had the most amazing times with the most wonderful people. They were always available and responded to inquires quickly. They shared recommendations and insight only they could as they are a local, well respected company in Costa Rica. This was truly a customized trip specially tailored to our requests and dreams and was incredible and affordable. When I travel back to Costa Rica, and I certainly will, I will only work with Serendipity Adventures!

Incredible trip for 2
Nancy and her team were a pleasure to work with finding the best activities and stays for us. I highly recommend. She and the team were also very quick to respond and answer any and all questions. She made the traveling and getting to the activities easy. I also felt that it was great to have a resource to go to for any questions while we were there. Our custom trip was incredible and affordable.

Absolutely fantastic holiday!
We spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica in August 2021. It was amazing time, we believe thanks to Serendipity Adventures. They are very professional and show individual approach to the client. Everything was organized perfectly and we can’t really complain about anything. Services were delivered on time and with full security guaranteed. For us, this part was important as we have two kids of 10 and 13 years old and most of the activities we experienced for the first time. Our guide, Sergio, was fantastic. Very open person, enormous knowledge and amazing attitude towards kids. The subcontractors hired by Serendipity were also great, extremely passionate about their job. We would like to thank Serendipity Adventures for this great holiday and wish them all the best as they deserve it! We can guarantee that by cooperating with them, you will not be disappointed.

Awesome Costa Rica Adventure!
My wife and I went on an 8 day tour with Serendipity in December 2020 and had an excellent time! Highlights included whitewater rafting on the Pacuare River (highly recommend), tree climbing near Arenal, and staying in a treehouse at Maquenque Eco-Lodge. The accommodations were fantastic, the people friendly, and the activities were adventurous! An extra shoutout to our driver and friend, Sergio! The company also took Covid precautions seriously. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and Serendipity lets you experience it to its fullest! We would happily return for a second trip in the future.
